Persimon, apple and cinnamon porridge

 

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 450ml milk
  • 1 dessertspoon dark brown soft sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 75g porridge oats
  • 1 Spanish Persimon, diced
  • 1 apple – peeled, cored and diced
  • Honey to serve (optional)

 

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce to simmer for 5 minutes, or until the oats are tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. To serve, pour into bowls, top with a little more diced persimon and drizzle with honey if desired.
